Director of Business Development
Job Description:
This position represents a tremendous opportunity for the right candidate who is looking for high growth and above market compensation. This is a full-time position that will entail aggressively pursuing new business for the company. The successful candidate should have the following skills and experience:
- BA/BS degree
- Minimum 3-5 years of sales experience in the Internet industry (online advertising, technology solutions, marketing solutions, or other relevant sectors)
- An existing rolodex of potential customers
- Consistent track record of over achievement
- Must have strong competitive drive and tenacity
- Possess aggressive and proactive prospecting skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Industry and competitive knowledge that can be leveraged in sales situations as needed
Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Qualifying and closing sales opportunities
- Conducting outbound sales calls for prospecting purposes
- Organizing and conducting innovative campaigns in support of maximizing penetration in designated sales territories
- Creating proposals
- Receiving and managing inbound solicitations
- Strategic planning of business development initiatives
